THE STORY SO FAR 📖

The Giants enter the Betfred Challenge Cup at the Round 6 stage in 2024, alongside all 11 other Super League teams, with Huddersfield handed a home tie vs Tony Smith's Hull FC.

Hull FC have had a hugely disappointing start to their campaign, after the signings of big names such as Herman Ese'ese, Franklin Pele and Nu Brown, they have only managed one last minute win vs London Broncos at home, most recently going down 04-54 to Leigh Leopards.

Despite this, they battled hard over in the south of France vs Catalans Dragons and will provide a stern test for Ian Watson's men, who lost out to the other Hull club in KR on Saturday, in what was a disappointing performance compared to our last away game vs Castleford.

FC have both Franklin Pele and Jack Ashworth suspended for this game, meaning there wont be a reunion with his former club this Saturday.

THE OPPOSITION 🐦

Hull FC made headlines in the off-season, completing the signings of Franklin Pele and Herman Ese'ese, two huge players that were sure to make their mark in the pack, but things haven't turned out the way the Black and Whites would have liked.

Both have suffered disciplinary issues throughout the season, meaning that the desired impact has not been felt yet, and with Hull FC struggling as of late, their presence has been much needed.

Their only win in the League this season, coming from a last minute Morgan Smith try when all looked lost, Robbie Storey racing 90m to score and put London Broncos on the brink of their first victory, but Smith stepped up and scored to secure two points.

However, this is the Challenge Cup and form is thrown out of the window, Hull FC will make the journey to the John Smith's Stadium knowing that a victory could kick-start their season and see the club within a few games of Wembley.

WHO TO WATCH 👀

• Fa'amanu Brown - The Aussie half who featured 27 times in 2021 for Featherstone Rovers in the Championship, returned to England again and can feature in the halves or at hooker.
• Darnell McIntosh - A former Giant himself, McIntosh has become a household name for Hull FC, scoring 23 tries in 49 appearances.
• Tex Hoy - The silky full-back crossed for a try vs the Giants last season and can bamboozle defences with his footwork, The Giants will have to watch out for the Number 1 on Saturday.

Tickets are on sale online, from the ticket office and over the phone, for this fixture there is NO PRICE RISE and supporters can purchase for the same price up until kick-off.

For this fixture, only the Core Stand lower and upper are available, Block 7 are located in the Core Stand upper, the drum and flags will also be located here.

Ian Watson has made enforced changes, with numerous injuries picked up, captain Luke Yates and Chris Hill drop out, with Sam Hewitt also not featuring, Matty English, Thomas Deakin and Joe Greenwood return.
